34 years! (707) 933-1300 info@sculpturesite.com
We have had 28 amazing years as Northern California’s premier sculpture gallery, first in Berkeley, then in San Francisco, a decade at Cornerstone Sonoma, and finally in Glen Ellen. The terrible Sonoma County fires last fall have radically impacted our surroundings in Wine Country, but we also acknowledge how much the entire art world has changed over 28 years, forcing us to change with it. Therefore, we decided not to renew our gallery lease in Glen Ellen. Our doors will close there on May 31st, at which point we will move forward with a focus on our website.
sculptureWALK TO REMAIN:
We are excited to announce that our on-going outdoor sculpture exhibition will be continuing at Jack London Village! Our indoor space will still close on May 31st, but several outdoor works will remain on-site after our doors close and we will continue to add new works to the sculptureWALK in the future. For a list of the sculptures currently on display, visit the sculptureWALK Exhibition page here.
FOCUS ON THE WEB:
We look forward to focusing on improvements to our website, which, we have been told, is already one of the best sculpture sites on the web. We sold our first sculpture on the web in 1995, and have continued to sell many sculptures from our website over the years. Look for enhanced ways to search for the perfect sculpture, regular spotlights on artists featuring exclusive online exhibitions, new artists and new works added regularly, and of course our beautiful and informative newsletter will continue to come your way. ALSO IN ROSS, MARIN COUNTY:
Additionally, we have formed a relationship with the new Jackson Grant Gallery in the exclusive town of Ross in Marin County, California, to continue to show a few of our artists in person in the Bay Area. Founders Tom Jackson and Kathy Grant have been avid sculpture collectors for many years. They will open their beautiful new space just before we close ours, and so we expect the transition to be seamless.
It has been a pleasure serving sculpture collectors in the greater Bay Area and beyond over the last 28 years, and we look forward to continuing the promotion of contemporary sculpture through our website, nationally and internationally.
